James A. Kenton
Consumer Products Operating Partner
Jim Kenton is currently Chief Executive Officer of SJ Partners portfolio company European Soaps LLC.
Previously Kenton was President of Beiersdorf’s $350 million North American operation. During his tenure, he improved market share of the firm’s major brands and oversaw the successful launch of Nivea for Men, taking it to the number one position in the men’s skin care category within two years.
He joined Beiersdorf via its acquisition of Kendall-Futuro Healthcare. He had served as President of Kendall-Futuro which was a $115 million manufacturer and distributor of consumer healthcare products.
Jim also has deep financial expertise, having previously served as CFO of Eon Labs and Intermedics. Eon was a $150 million manufacturer and distributor of generic pharamecuticals while Intermedics was a $250 million NYSE listed company. At Intermedics, he managed its financial turnaround from a loss of $16 million to record profit of $33 million.
He has a BBA in Accounting and Finance from Loyola University of Chicago.
